Ouanaminthe Haiti Team Pilot Program
The first CitC Ouanaminthe Haiti Team has a successful Pilot Program.
With our inability to travel to Haiti in the Spring of 2023, we looked for another solution. After working with Rodne Dolcinard and Jacquessaint (Blanc) Antoine for 7 years, we decided to have them put together their own team and run a Pilot Program.
We were able to order the filter kits from our supplier, who now has a distributor in Central Haiti. The filters cost more, due to shipping and customs, but we didn’t incur any travel costs for an American Team. It took almost a month to get the filters delivered due to the violence in Port-au-Prince. But they were successfully delivered into our International Partners at the Ouanaminthe Rotary Club. All of the Club members were brought up to speed on the program. Then the filters were in turn delivered to Rodne and Blanc from the CitC Team.
Rodne and Blanc went ahead of time, to gather names of those that will be receiving the filters. They selected a couple of villages and met with leaders to establish when the filters would be delivered and installed into to 5-gallon buckets which each villager furnished.

The Pilot Program was a huge success. A total of 250 filters were delivered between the villages. Enjoy the photos below.
